The Life and Times of Curly Sue (A Biography)

My name is Michael David Texeira. Had I an alias, it would surely be Curly Sue, and, were you to use my alias to my face, I would surely have to reprimand you, unless of course you are a dear friend. Well, I’m the bastard son of a schizophrenic guitar player and accountant. What this implies I know not. Infer what you will, after all, I’m in no position to stop you…yet. The last name is Portuguese as the only full quarter of any identifiable nationality I possess comes from my grandfather, a portuguese guitar player who dies when I was three. I tend to tell people more about myself than they want to hear. Why? Because I, like almost everyone else in the world, enjoy talking about myself, or writing as it were.

I am an observer, of people, of events, and of life as a whole. I am the twisted eye, wry smile, the sardonic wit. (Did I mention I am humble?) I love animals and trees. I was born to be a flower child, only missing my mark by about thirty years. Music is my love, playing it, writing it, and listening to it. I am a peculiarly spiritual person. I have three main goals to accomplish in the course of my souls journey: to know all things on earth, to know the ways of the celestials, and to unlock the self, thereby reaching the goal of all goals, peace. Flower child I am. My method is philosophical, yet it leaves much to be desired, and my tools are my senses, imperfect as they are, and my soul.

Living as a cynic, I don’t follow others easily or believe others easily. For me, all is in the eye of the beholder, all except truth. Truth is, unfortunately, beyond the reach of man and his limited consciousness. I am a creature of change, unstable, intense and highly individualistic. Most importantly, I accept both everything and nothing with a grain of salt. I would appreciate input on anything I write, though, as I try my hardest to be kind, honest and respectful, I ask that you would do the same. The Golden Rule only works if everyone lives by it.

My personal quote:
Omnia percipere divinum est, sed non omnibus hominibus significatur.
To perceive all is divine and is not significant for all men (mankind).
