LIFE
Everyone obsesses about life. Especially the creatively inclined. Philosophers, artists, authors, film-makers…everyone has an opinion. Well, I, Mia Shackelford, was brainstorming an Entertain, and I thought “hey, why not review life?” Bamboozled can hella muse on the level of some absinthe influenced philosophes or other Parisian salon attendees.
We all had something very different. Lucy was the first to share.
“An iridescent moment that flickers, ebbing slowly, sometimes pulsing-what will it be, this incandescent thing that you hold…what will you make of it, before it dies out? holding infinity in the palm of your hand, the fingers of mortality closed around, keeping it chained. for when you love something wild, you’ll always struggle to keep it close-but you’ll always be left staring at the door.”
We were all awed. But all our offerings had something unique to say-and probably how we choose to think or write about life has some huge psychological meaning, and will reveal the depths of our soul, yaddayaddayadda, but we aren’t going to think about that nonsense.
Mine (Mia’s) was about tea. obviously.
“Life is like tea-you need the right timing to avoid burning your tongue with eagerness or letting it get bitter with hesitation.”
Karin’s thought was lovely and succinct.
“Life: what comes before death.”
Alex went philosophical.
“life is living. life is going out and forgetting what’s not important. life is existing to the fullest capacity.”
the J-Woo crew apparently decided that life is celebrating melissa’s birthday inappropriately in Thailand?
