For Later
Run your fingers through
Wind’s silver hair
snatch a tuft for later
and shove it in your pocket-
you’ll want it soon enough
for dreaming in your cubicle-cage.
Fill your nose with the scent:
time lost track of
but remember to hang some up to dry;
you’ll want it soon enough
to gnaw on as you try to sleep
despite the wild eternity of your hopes.
